Recycled skis and plastic bottles: the importance of re-use

The new BAUME x ZAG watch, featuring an automatic Miyota movement, has a 42mm casing made using excess materials from the production of ZAG professional skis. The casing is made up of two materials: natural wood and carbon. A blue anodized aluminium container encapsulates the movement and clips onto the casing to protect the movement from any external damage and ensures water-resistance.

Adding a sports luxe feel, the BAUME x ZAG Limited Edition watch comes with two interchangeable straps: a white version with cork lining and blue stitching, and a blue version with cork lining and yellow stitching. The yarn of the white strap is made from recycled PET, sourced from plastic bottles fished from the oceans by NGO and long term BAUME collaborator Waste Free Oceans (WFO).

In celebration of the BAUME x ZAG launch, is donating a portion of the sales of each ZAG 2 sold to ProtectOurWinters, a non-profit whose mission is to turn outdoor enthusiasts into climate advocates.
